At Kippax Valley, Benoak Fortune is our main paddock sire. In addition, we have sources semen from a number of leading bulls, from Australia, New Zealand and the UK. These sires are used extensively in our AI/ET program. The details of our sires are listed below;
Fortune was Supreme Devon Exhibit at Sydney Royal 2009 (at 17 months). Both Devon and Interbreed Judges made similar comments: "a very impressive bull of any of the British Breeds, a bull with excellent carcase attributes, combining volume and thickness with a great butt".

Barnstaple Kismet 93 is the leading sire at the Benoak Stud. At the 2009 Sydney Royal show, his son Benoak Fortune C207 was judged best Devon exhibit and his daughter (Benoak Cinderella C13) - Junior Champion and Reserve Champion Female. His semen is being used in our A.I./E.T. program.

Barnstaple Marriot needs no introduction. He has 261 progeny in listed in Breedplan, and as such must be one of the most influencial bulls in the breed. His progeny have been the mainstay of commercial and show ring success of the Barnestaple Devon Stud. His progeny reflect the needs of the modern commercial beef producers. His semen is being used in our A.I./E.T. program.

A magnificent polled UK sire. We inspected him on the UK tour - 2010. Great volume, thick, muscular with a tremendous butt. To complement this, his mobility is amazing. Not previously used in Australia.

Another thick muscular UK sire. He is in the top 10% of the breed for all traits. He has been used as a foundation sire in three of the leading UK herds. His progeny have already won numerous show awards. Those we inspected had great confirmation and natural thickness.

A sire of the future (as described by a UK breeding expert). Yearling bull of the year - 2003. With very high EBV's, his dam is the top producing cow in the Forde Abbey herd. Once again, volume, thickness and a large butt. This translates into "heaps of meat". Not previously used in Australia.
A very successful polled English sire, with a 400 daily weight that is 120 kg above the breed average. His semen is being used in our A.I./E.T. program.
